
The Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Efutu Constituency, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has paid the school fees of 33 University of Ghana students from the Volta Region, amounting to GHC105,000.
The beneficiaries, who are members of the Volta Region Students Association (VORSA), received the support during a meeting with the Minority Leader in Parliament on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The intervention is to help them settle their fees for the current academic year.
Addressing the students, Mr. Afenyo-Markin encouraged them to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to excellence, stressing that education is a key tool for personal and national transformation.
The leadership of VORSA expressed gratitude to Mr. Afenyo-Markin, who also serves as their Patron, describing the gesture as timely and a demonstration of his commitment to youth development. They pledged to make good use of the opportunity to excel academically.
