To maintain order, the Ghana Police Service has deployed 300 personnel from Accra to Gbiniyiri, Sawla, Giniri, and adjoining communities.

Earlier, Mr. Yohuno met with the Savannah Regional Security Council, chaired by Regional Minister Salisu Be-Awuribe, for a briefing on the situation. He also visited the Jakpa Palace, where he appealed to the Overlord of Gonjaland, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, to help facilitate dialogue between the feuding factions.

The IGP assured that the security forces would do everything possible to restore calm, noting that such violent incidents had not been recorded in Gonjaland for a very long time.
