The substances were seized from individuals during targeted enforcement actions to curb drug abuse and trafficking. These operations led to the conviction of six people by the Damongo Circuit Court, each fined at least 500 penalty units.

Savannah Regional Minister Salisu Be-Awuribe said the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has intensified efforts to combat drug-related crimes, stressing that the use of illicit drugs remains strictly prohibited.
