Ewurabena Aubynn, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, has officially been sworn in as a member of the Governing Board of the Ghana Shippers Authority.
Her appointment follows her recent historic victory as the second National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate to win the Ablekuma North parliamentary seat since 1992. She secured the seat in a hotly contested rerun held on Friday, July 11, 2025.
A first-time MP, Aubynn is known for her strong record in social development and grassroots activism. Prior to her political career, she established the Awula Foundation in February 2023—a nonprofit organization focused on supporting vulnerable individuals and families within the Ablekuma North Constituency.
Her dedication to community welfare and advocacy is expected to bring valuable insight to the Ghana Shippers Authority Board, particularly in enhancing community engagement and shaping inclusive trade and logistics policies.
Stakeholders anticipate that her presence on the board will contribute positively to the Authority’s mission of facilitating safe, efficient, and accessible shipping services across the country.
