Several men wearing brown uniforms and claiming to be security personnel were arrested near the Awoshie DVLA polling station in the Ablekuma North Constituency on Friday, July 11.

According to police sources, the suspects could not produce any form of official identification when questioned by officers on duty for the constituency’s parliamentary rerun. They were subsequently taken to the Odorkor Police Station for further interrogation.

The men had positioned themselves close to the entrance of the polling centre. Their presence drew the attention of the uniformed officers assigned to maintain order during the vote and led to their immediate apprehension.
