Police Arrest Two Employees For Plotting Robbery During Company Cash Transfer In North Kaneshie

The Special Support Unit of the Ghana Police Service has arrested two employees of a private company in North Kaneshie, Accra, for attempting to rob the firm during a scheduled cash transfer operation.

The suspects, identified as Joseph Danso, alias Nana Yaw, and Fauzan Alhassan, were apprehended on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, while trailing a dispatch rider transporting company funds to a bank at Abossey Okai.

According to police sources, intelligence revealed that the duo, along with two accomplices identified as Frankie and Asante, had conspired to carry out the robbery during one of the company’s routine bank runs. A surveillance operation mounted by the Special Support Unit led to the timely arrest of the suspects in the act.

During interrogation, the arrested individuals confessed to the plot and disclosed the identities of their accomplices.

The two suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations, as efforts intensify to apprehend the remaining members of the group.
