Two Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates from Big Six International School in Meduma were allegedly prevented from writing their first paper after being locked in a room by their headmaster over unpaid school fees.

The students were scheduled to write the Mathematics paper at Simms High School in Fawoade, the designated exam centre for the Kwabre East Municipality in the Ashanti Region.

However, reports indicate that the headmaster of the private school confined the candidates for failing to clear their fee arrears, resulting in their absence from the opening session of the nationwide exams.
