The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested 34-year-old Robert Kwabena Boamah in connection with the murder of a young woman, Dorothy Owusu Annor, also known as Maa Abena, aged 23.

The suspect was picked up at his hideout in Namong near Offinso on April 23, 2025, following police investigations into a murder case reported two days earlier in the Tanoso Electoral Area of the Kwadaso Municipality.

Police responded to a distress call on April 21 and discovered Dorothy’s lifeless body near the Mighty Jesus Educational Complex in Dominase, with multiple stab wounds. At the scene, an abandoned Opel Astra taxi with registration number AS8575-Y was found with its ignition key still intact.
