A devastating fire on Sunday evening, April 20, 2025, destroyed the top floor of a two-storey hostel at the Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College, affecting over 150 students.
The blaze, which started around 5 p.m., wiped out personal belongings including mattresses, laptops, provisions, and books. Fortunately, swift action by the Ghana National Fire Service prevented the flames from reaching the ground floor.
No injuries or fatalities were reported, as many students were away on Easter break.
Fire officials have begun investigations, but the exact cause of the incident remains unknown.
