The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has reported a sharp increase in cyber fraud, with financial losses rising to GH₵4.4 million between January and March 2025, compared to GH₵2.4 million in the same period last year.

Key Cybercrime Tactics

  1. Fake Online Shops – Fraudsters create counterfeit stores and lure victims with fake discounts.
  2. Brand Impersonation – Scammers manipulate search results to trick buyers into engaging with fraudulent businesses.
  3. Phishing Scams – Deceptive emails or messages steal personal data through fake offers.
