Policewoman Arrested and Interdicted for Pouring Hot Water on Colleague

The Ghana Police Service has detained and interdicted Police Constable Alonsi Elizabeth for allegedly pouring hot water on a female colleague following an argument.

According to an official statement from the Police Service, the incident resulted in the victim suffering burn injuries to her face and back. She is currently in a stable condition and receiving medical treatment and support.

The police have confirmed that Constable Alonsi Elizabeth is currently in custody and will be subjected to internal disciplinary proceedings in addition to legal action in court.

“She is currently in custody and will be taken through both internal disciplinary processes and the due processes at the court of law,” the police statement read.
