Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine has disclosed a list of significant properties allegedly acquired by former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Director-General, Kwabena Adu-Boahene, and his wife, Angela Adjei-Boateng.

The properties, suspected to have been purchased with funds from questionable sources, include prime real estate in Ghana and abroad.

Properties Identified in Ghana:

  1. No. 2 Stream Part Drive, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra – A deposit of $1,000,000 (GHS15,000,000) was made, with supporting deposit slips and receipts traced.
  2. No. 6 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra – Deposit of $500,000.
  3. No. 7 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA – Deposit of $200,000.
  4. No. 8 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA – Initial deposit of $97,815, with suspicions of additional cash payments.
  5. No. 9 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra – Deposit of $270,000.
  6. No. 10 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra – Deposit of $150,000.

Additionally, the investigation has linked Adu-Boahene to Vertex Properties, a company reportedly owning 27 houses in Oyarifa, each valued at $295,000.

Authorities have also tracked two properties in London, though specific details are yet to be disclosed.

At a press briefing in Accra on Monday, Dr. Ayine stated that the scale of these acquisitions raises strong concerns about financial misconduct during Adu-Boahene’s tenure at the NSB.

“The proceeds from the suspects’ activities were used to buy significant landed properties and other assets of considerable value both in Ghana and elsewhere,” he noted.
