The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that District Level Elections (DLEs) for Nkoranza North and South will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
This follows the expiration of the tenure of Assembly and Unit Committee Members, in accordance with the District Level Elections Regulations, 2015 (C.I. 89). Additionally, the EC will conduct by-elections in electoral areas where vacancies have arisen due to resignations or the passing of Assembly Members.
The EC has outlined the following guidelines for prospective candidates:
- Nomination Forms are available for free at EC District Offices or can be downloaded from the EC website (www.ec.gov.gh).
- Completed forms must be submitted between April 1 and April 4, 2025 at designated EC offices.
- Submission hours are 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
- Candidates must attach two passport-sized photographs on a red background.
The EC has urged all interested individuals to strictly adhere to the procedures and deadlines.
The Electoral Commission reassured the public of its commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections. It also encouraged candidates and voters in Nkoranza North and South to participate actively in the electoral process.
