A/R: Ex-Chief of Kokoben Shot Dead

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has launched an investigation into the fatal shooting of Nana Okofrobuo Boateng, an ex-chief of Kokoben in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District.

Nana Boateng was found dead on Wednesday evening, January 15, near his residence at the Kokoben New Site, with multiple gunshot wounds. The tragic incident occurred as he was returning home from work.

Family and friends suspect that the attack may have been a contract killing, pointing out that the deceased survived a similar attempt on his life last year. However, no arrests were made in the previous incident, leaving the suspects unidentified.

The death of Nana Boateng has left the Kokoben community in shock, raising concerns about safety and security.

The Bohyen District Police Command has commenced investigations to uncover the circumstances surrounding the killing and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and report any information that could assist in apprehending the culprits.
