Faustina Akurugu Wins Dome Kwabenya Parliamentary Seat

Faustina Akurugu of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Shia woman to win a parliamentary seat in Ghana. She secured a decisive victory in the Dome Kwabenya constituency during the 2024 general elections, marking a significant triumph for the opposition party.
