The mob action was reportedly triggered by misinformation that the police had arrested suspects in connection with the crime.

Ibrahim Obeng, Assemblyman for the Gomoa Afranse-Ofaso Electoral Area, confirmed the murder and stated that the victim’s head had been taken by the perpetrator.

Police are yet to provide updates on their investigation into the incident, as efforts to calm tensions and restore order in the community continue.
