Special Voting in Eastern and Western Regions Postponed to December 5

The Electoral Commission (EC) has postponed the Special Voting exercise for the Eastern and Western Regions, initially scheduled for December 2, to Thursday, December 5.

The decision was announced by EC Chairperson Jean Mensa during an emergency Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on December 1. The delay follows the discovery of a broken seal on electoral materials in the Eastern Region. Although no issues were reported with the Western Region’s ballot papers, the printing press responsible for the Eastern Region also handled those for the Western Region, prompting a precautionary recall and reprinting.
