The People’s National Convention (PNC) has announced its endorsement of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the lead-up to the December 7 general elections.
The decision, reached after consultations with the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) and Functional Executive Committee (FEC), was made public by PNC National Chairman Samson Asaki Awingobit during a press conference in Accra on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
“With just nine days to the election, the PNC, not having a presidential candidate, cannot remain neutral,” Awingobit stated. He emphasized that the party’s regional and national leadership collectively decided to support the NDC’s presidential candidate.
Awingobit also highlighted the intention behind this endorsement, saying, “We have thrown our support so that the next government formed by the NDC will collaborate with or be supported by the PNC.”
