Armed Robbers Attack Dormabin Filling Station, One Dead

A robbery at a filling station in Dormabin, located in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region, has left one person dead. The victim, identified as Isaac Dampoki, was fatally shot during the attack, which occurred on Monday evening.

According to reports from the Ghana News Agency (GNA), the incident unfolded when the armed robbers stormed the filling station, firing sporadically. Dampoki, who had visited the station to purchase fuel, was struck during the chaos.

The assailants fled the scene with an estimated GH¢9,000 in stolen cash, leaving the victim critically injured.

Eyewitnesses reported that the injured victim was rushed to a nearby Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound for initial treatment. Due to the severity of his condition, he was referred to WoraWora Government Hospital. Unfortunately, Dampoki succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead en route, at Asukawkaw.

In response to the attack, the Dambai Police Command has intensified security in the area and launched an investigation to apprehend the perpetrators.
