President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has officially commissioned the Bank of Ghana’s (BoG) new state-of-the-art headquarters in Accra, a significant development aimed at modernizing Ghana’s financial infrastructure and boosting the Central Bank’s operational capacity.

The commissioning ceremony, held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, was attended by prominent government officials, Bank of Ghana executives, and key players from the financial sector.

In his remarks, President Akufo-Addo praised the Bank of Ghana for its dedication to innovation and efficiency. He described the new facility as a “command centre” for the bank’s operations, designed to foster collaboration, enhance service delivery, and advance critical financial reforms.

“This new headquarters will serve as the command centre for the bank’s operations, fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in its service to the nation. It will also reinforce the bank’s capacity to advance critical financial sector reforms, enhance regulatory frameworks, and improve the investment climate for both domestic and international stakeholders,” he stated.
