17-Year-Old Killed in Fire Outbreak at Atonsu Bokuro

A 17-year-old boy, identified only as Jerry, has tragically lost his life in a fire that destroyed properties at Atonsu Bokuro in the Asokwa Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The fire broke out around 8:30 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024, while Jerry was asleep in one of the rooms. Despite efforts by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) to control the blaze, the fire caused significant damage to several properties.

Asokwa Municipal Fire Commander Bernard Nyemi-Tei reported that firefighters faced challenges accessing the building, which complicated their efforts to contain the fire.
