Two Juveniles Remanded Over Murder of JHS Graduate

The Asokwa District Court has remanded two juveniles in connection with the killing of Dennis Owusu Ansah, a 16-year-old recent Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduate, in Anloga, Oforikrom Municipality, Ashanti Region.

Details of the Incident: 

– Main Suspect: A 16-year-old girl allegedly stabbed Dennis during an argument.

– Second Suspect: A 15-year-old girl is accused of abetting the murder.

The incident reportedly occurred while the trio was escorting a friend home. An altercation broke out between Dennis and the main suspect, leading to the stabbing. Witnesses say Dennis sustained severe injuries to his rib, resulting in significant blood loss. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Court Proceedings:

– The main suspect has been charged with murder and causing injury to Dennis.

– The second suspect faces charges of abetment of murder.

– The court denied a bail request for the suspects and adjourned the case to November 20.

Victor Owusu-Ansah, the victim’s brother, expressed confidence in the justice system following the court’s decision.
