Police Intercepts Robbery Plot in Kumasi, Arrest Four with Arms and Ammunition

The Anti-Robbery Unit of the Ghana Police Service in Kumasi has successfully intercepted a robbery plot, arresting four suspects. Shadrack Anartey, Emmanuel Agyei Donkor, Abu Ali, and Abubakar Buba were apprehended by the Konongo Divisional Taskforce after receiving a tip-off.

The suspects were traveling in a Nissan Urvan bus, where police discovered two AK-47 rifles, three magazines, and 86 rounds of ammunition hidden in the vehicle. The arrest occurred on October 13, 2024, after the police were alerted to the group’s plan to execute a robbery.

The suspects are currently assisting with investigations and will soon be arraigned in court.
