A sales assistant, Linda Bonsu Bempah, has been accused of handing the keys to a Jaguar vehicle to the 16-year-old son of Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, who later caused a tragic accident in East Legon. The crash, which took place on October 12, 2024, resulted in the deaths of two 12-year-old girls after both vehicles involved were engulfed in flames.

According to the prosecution, Bempah, who works for the elder brother of the 16-year-old, knowingly gave the car keys to the boy despite him being underage and without a driver’s license. The parents of the boy, Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, the founder and General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, and his wife, Mouha Amoako, have also been charged with permitting an unlicensed person to drive.

The accident occurred when the 16-year-old, driving the Jaguar SUV, collided with an Acura 4×4 on Mensah Wood Street in East Legon. The impact caused both vehicles to catch fire, tragically trapping and killing two occupants of the Acura. The 16-year-old and two other injured individuals are currently being treated at the University of Ghana Medical Center.
