Meet Juventus Duorinaah, the First Ghanaian Deaf Lawyer

Mr. Juventus Duorinaah hails from Wa in the Upper West Region. He had his basic education in Wa school for the deaf.

In 2007, Mr. Juventus Duorinaah completed his education at the Senior High Technical School for the Deaf (SHTSD).

He then pursued a degree in sociology and political science at the University of Ghana graduating with first class.

He pursued a Master of Law, from the School of Law and Politics, Cardiff University focusing on Human rights Law.

Back home, he pursued the law degree (LLB) program at the University of Ghana, from which he graduated with second-class lower honors.

He successfully passed the entrance exams and entered into the Ghana School of Law.

After six years of legal education and with determination and perseverance, Mr. Duorinaah has been called to the bar.

This significant accomplishment represents a milestone for the deaf community, as Mr. Duorinaah’s expertise will allow him to comprehensively understand and advocate for the rights of deaf individuals.

Mr. Juventus Duorinaah is now a lawyer, and his achievement is a testament to his hard work and dedication.
