The Ghana Police Service has confirmed that Oliver Barker-Vormawor, a prominent figure of the Democracy Hub, has been admitted to the Police Hospital after experiencing health issues.
A police statement indicated that Barker-Vormawor and another group member, Fanny Otoo, were transferred to the hospital for medical care after both reported feeling unwell on September 24, 2024.
Fanny Otoo first reported feeling indisposed, prompting his admission to the hospital for treatment. Later that evening, Barker-Vormawor also complained of illness and was similarly admitted for further care.
The police emphasized that they had not denied any suspect medical attention at any point during their custody.
