Kumasi: NDC Protest Turns Chaotic as Police Fire Teargas, Two Injured

Chaos broke out in Kumasi during the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ‘Enough is Enough’ demonstration on September 17, 2024, as tensions between protesters and police escalated into violence.

The police resorted to using teargas to disperse the crowd after clashes erupted, leaving two individuals injured.

One protester was rushed to the hospital for treatment after sustaining injuries during the confrontation. In the midst of the chaos, some demonstrators attempted to assault a police officer, who sought refuge in a nearby house, while another officer was injured in the scuffle.
