Cheddar to Launch Manifesto on ’12 Pillars of Economic Freedom’

Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, an independent presidential aspirant and leader of the New Force Movement, is set to launch his manifesto on Sunday, September 1, 2024. The manifesto, titled “The 12 Pillars of Economic Freedom,” will be unveiled during a virtual event scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM.

The New Force Movement has described this manifesto as a visionary roadmap designed to promote prosperity, create opportunities, and secure a brighter future for all Ghanaians.

Although Cheddar’s New Force Movement has not been registered as a political party in time for the December 7 election, he plans to file his nomination with the Electoral Commission as an independent candidate. He cited delays in obtaining approval from the Electoral Commission as the reason for running independently.

Cheddar, who revealed his presidential ambitions as a divine calling, stated that despite his limited understanding of politics, he felt guided to pursue the highest office to enact meaningful change. He emphasized that his background as a private investor and developer has motivated him to seek the presidency, believing it would give him the authority to implement large-scale developmental projects.

Reflecting on Ghana’s political landscape, Cheddar expressed his dissatisfaction with the progress made by the country’s two dominant political parties, the NPP and NDC, over the past four decades. He believes that more significant change is needed in terms of human and social development, and his candidacy aims to address these challenges.
