Kennedy Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central, has called on the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to recognize and apologize for the economic challenges faced by Ghanaians as part of their campaign strategy for the upcoming 2024 General Elections.
At the launch of the NPP’s election campaign for the Ablekuma South Constituency, Agyapong stressed the importance of addressing the current economic difficulties openly. He urged the party to approach the election with humility, admit to their past mistakes, and seek forgiveness from the electorate to regain their trust.
“Let’s go out there with humility, apologize to Ghanaians, and admit your mistakes before you can convince anybody to vote for you. If we ignore the hardships Ghanaians are going through, they will never accept what we are saying,” Agyapong stated.
He further emphasized that acknowledging the difficulties and demonstrating that the party has learned from past errors is crucial for securing voter support. Agyapong expressed confidence in Dr. Bawumia, the NPP’s flagbearer, and pledged support to ensure the party’s success in the December 7 elections.
