Former President and NDC flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama, has called on Ghanaians who missed the recent voter registration exercise to participate in the upcoming mop-up.
In a Facebook post, Mahama addressed the nation, emphasizing the importance of voter participation in the upcoming elections.
“Welcome to a new month, my fellow Ghanaians, brothers and sisters. The time to reset our dear country is getting close. I want to urge all 18-year-olds, including all eligible voters yet to register with the Electoral Commission of Ghana, to #RegisterforChange,” he wrote.
The mop-up voter registration exercise, which starts today, August 1, and ends on Saturday, August 3, provides a three-day window for eligible voters to register.
“Remember, your vote is not just a right; it’s power—the power to change this non-performing and unrepentantly corrupt NPP government—the power to change and bring in the Mahama government, which is not just promising change but poised to build the Ghana we all want together,” Mahama stated.
He assured Ghanaians that with himself and Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang in the Flagstaff House from January 7, 2025, they can expect decent and well-paying jobs through the 24-hour economy initiative, gender equality, an improved free SHS programme, and a relentless fight against injustice and corruption.
