Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, the Finance Minister, is scheduled to present the 2024 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.
This presentation will update the House on the progress of the government’s 2024 Budget and outline revised financial plans and the latest economic outlook for Ghana.
In a statement released on Monday, July 22, the Ministry indicated that the review would offer an update on the execution of the 2024 budget, providing insights into the economic and fiscal performance for the first half of the year.
There will be updates on growth initiatives, revenue, expenditure performance, financing, and debt sustainability.
Additionally, the Minister will brief Parliament on the progress of the ongoing US$3 billion International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan-supported Post-COVID-19 Programme for Economic Growth (PC-PEG).
This marks Dr. Amin Adam’s first presentation in Parliament since taking office as Finance Minister in February 2024, in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921).
