The Ghana Police Service has invited Kwame Asare Obeng, known as A-Plus, to aid in the investigation into the murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale. This follows A-Plus’s recent social media claims that he possesses information about the case.
During a Facebook live session on July 13, A-Plus asserted that he knew the identities of Suale’s killers and expressed his willingness to substantiate his claims if requested.
In their statement, the police acknowledged the Cold Case Unit, formed in October 2021 under the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), which has been handling the case and engaging with Suale’s family. The police expressed their appreciation for A-Plus’s indication that he has relevant information and have invited him to assist with the investigation.
