Tamale: Banvim Community on Edge Following Discovery of Two Murdered Children

Tension is mounting in Banvim, a community within the Kakpagyili electoral area of the Northern Region, following the suspected murder of two children.

The victims, Arafat and Ayaa, disappeared on Saturday, June 22, 2024, after telling their parents they were visiting a neighbor but failed to return.

According to Citi News, community members searched the alleged neighbor’s house but found no evidence, heightening the residents’ agitation.

Alhaji Hafiz Andani, the assembly member for Kakpagyili, reported that police investigations on Sunday uncovered the bodies in an abandoned car behind the suspect’s house.

The bodies have been transferred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue.
