An altercation over a digging fee has led to the death of one individual and injuries to three others at a construction site in Tebu, located in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
According to Citi News’ Calvis Tetteh, heavily armed land guards demanded a digging fee of GHC4000. However, the workers explained that they had already paid another group of land guards the previous Thursday.
Following the refusal to pay again, the land guards opened fire, resulting in one fatality and three injuries.
This violent incident occurs just weeks after a soldier was fatally shot by a man named Benlord Ababio at Millennium City in Gomoa Fetteh, Central Region.
The deceased soldier, Lance Corporal Danso, was in the driver’s seat of his Toyota RAV4 with registration GR 3591-24 when he was shot from behind following a dispute over the ownership of a half plot of land.
