Gospel Musician KODA Reportedly Passes Away at 45

Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, widely known as KODA, a prominent figure in Ghana’s contemporary gospel music scene, has sadly passed away at the age of 45.

The news of his death was confirmed by fellow gospel musician Nii Okai, who shared the news with myjoyonline.com.

According to Nii Okai, KODA passed away in the early hours of Sunday, April 21, 2024.

While the exact cause of his death has not been officially disclosed, there are unconfirmed reports suggesting that he had been battling an illness.

KODA, who was based in Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana, was not only a gifted singer and songwriter but also a talented music producer and multi-instrumentalist.

He was revered for his contributions to Ghana’s gospel music industry and his passion for spreading the gospel through his music.

Throughout his career, KODA released several successful albums, including three studio albums, two live albums, and two instrumental/jazz albums. His most recent vocal album, ‘Keteke,’ was well-received by fans.

Some of KODA’s most popular gospel songs include ‘Nkwaa Abodo,’ ‘Nsem Pii,’ ‘Adooso,’ ‘Hossana,’ ‘Poma Dadaa,’ ‘Amen,’ and ‘Zion Song.’
