Burkinabe Driver Remanded For Causing Kyekyewere Accident

A 32-year-old Burkinabe driver who collided his Articulated truck with two buses leading to 14 deaths and many scores of injuries at Kyekyewere stretch of the Accra to Kumasi highway has been remanded into Police Custody.

The driver who has been identified as Seni Baguian, appeared before the Suhum Magistrate Court yesterday, the Articulated truck driver killer plea was rejected by the court.

Seni Baguian will reappear before the Suhum Magistrate Court on September 22, 2020.

Meanwhile, a full investigation has since been launched to reveal the cause of the fatal accident which occurred at Kyekyewere stretch of the Accra to Kumasi highway on Tuesday dawn according to the Eastern Regional Police Command.
