Ghanaian Musician Kuami Eugene Involved in Car Accident, Sustains Injuries

Ghanaian music sensation, Kuami Eugene, found himself in a distressing situation on Sunday night as he collided his vehicle with a tipper truck, resulting in injuries. The incident took place at CP, in close proximity to the DSTV office towards the Dzorwulu traffic light in Accra. The purpose of Eugene’s journey at the time remains undisclosed.

Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri, the Editor for Modern Ghana news portal, was an eyewitness to the unfortunate event. Recounting the incident, Ajarfor disclosed that he was trailing Eugene’s car when the accident unfolded around 11:30 pm. Acting swiftly, he assisted Eugene and his passenger, facilitating their transportation to the UGMC hospital for medical attention.

Ajarfor described the tipper truck as being in motion, albeit at a slow pace, when Eugene’s vehicle collided with it from behind. He attributed the accident to the poor lighting conditions along the N1 highway and the absence of tail lights on the tipper truck, which exacerbated visibility challenges.

Eugene’s injuries were visibly apparent, with a visible cut on his arm, hands covered in blood, a laceration on his lips, a leg injury, and a hip injury. The male passenger accompanying him, while seemingly uninjured, complained of neck and back discomfort upon arrival at the hospital.

Ajarfor promptly notified the Achimota Police Station, prompting officers to attend the scene and arrange for the towing of Eugene’s vehicle. Expressing relief, Ajarfor emphasized Eugene’s fortunate survival, considering the severity of the accident, noting the significant damage to the vehicle and the deployment of airbags.
