Otto Addo Appoints Joseph Laumann, John Paintsil, and Fatau Dauda as Assistant Coaches for Black Stars

In a strategic move to bolster the technical setup of the Ghana national football team, newly appointed head coach Otto Addo has unveiled his backroom staff. Joining Addo on the coaching team are Joseph Laumann, John Paintsil, and Fatau Dauda, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the role.

Joseph Laumann, a UEFA pro-license holder with a diverse playing and coaching background, has previously worked with renowned clubs such as Standard Liege, VfL Bochum, and Barnsley in the English Championship.

John Paintsil, a Ghanaian football legend with an illustrious playing career that included stints at Fulham, West Ham United, and Kaizer Chiefs, brings invaluable experience from his time representing Ghana in two FIFA World Cup tournaments. Paintsil, who boasts 89 caps for his country, also served as an assistant coach at Kaizer Chiefs and holds a CAF License B.

Fatau Dauda, another former Ghanaian international, adds depth to the coaching staff with his extensive playing career, which saw him guard the net for clubs like Voradep, Okwahu United, AshantiGold, and Orlando Pirates. Dauda’s 23 appearances for Ghana include participation in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The Ghana Football Association has expressed its full support for the newly formed technical team, emphasizing the importance of patience and unity as the team enters a new era. With the right backing, the GFA believes the Black Stars can look forward to a promising future filled with both challenges and triumphs.
