Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has announced the party’s intention to use drones for monitoring the December general elections in the region.

The primary objective of this initiative, according to Ashie Moore, is to ensure the security of over two million votes for the party and enhance monitoring mechanisms to prevent potential irregularities.

With a targeted goal of securing over two million votes in the region, the NDC sees this effort as crucial in influencing the election’s outcome.

Ashie Moore revealed that comprehensive plans are already underway, including the training of personnel who will operate the drones.

“We will train constituency executives next week on drone usage to monitor the elections,” Ashie Moore told enthusiastic supporters.

Although specific details about the deployment were not disclosed, Ashie Moore emphasized the party’s commitment to securing all necessary resources for a successful electoral process.

NDC’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, also stressed the need for vigilance during the polls.

“Vigilance will be crucial in this election. We can campaign all we want, but if we are not vigilant on election day and do not cover every polling station, we will not achieve our objectives. In Greater Accra, we want to ensure that every polling station is covered with our best party agents,” Mahama said.
