“Silence is the Best Answer” – Lil Win Responds to Martha Ankomah’s Lawsuit

Renowned actor Kwadwo Nkansah, known by his stage name Lil Win, has opted for silence in response to the recent legal action taken against him by fellow actor Martha Ankomah. Martha Ankomah filed a defamation lawsuit against Lil Win, demanding a compensation of Gh¢5 million along with additional damages.

Despite widespread anticipation for a public statement from Lil Win regarding the lawsuit, the actor has chosen to communicate through subtle social media posts. In a Facebook post made this morning, Lil Win cryptically stated, “Silence is the best answer,” indicating his reluctance to publicly address the issue at this time.

However, Lil Win’s post has stirred up mixed reactions among his followers, with some expressing disappointment in his response and urging him to apologize to Martha Ankomah. Critics have suggested that Lil Win’s focus should be on rectifying any wrongs rather than making unnecessary comments about the legal proceedings.

Martha Ankomah’s legal action stems from an incident where Lil Win allegedly accused her of expressing disdain towards Kumawood actors. Lil Win claimed that Martha Ankomah refused to collaborate with Kumawood actors due to what she perceived as their lack of quality storylines. Martha Ankomah clarified her stance during a recent radio interview, stating that while she enjoyed Kumawood movies in the past, she no longer found witchcraft storylines appealing.

In response to Martha Ankomah’s clarification, Lil Win criticized her statement, which Martha Ankomah deemed defamatory, leading to the legal action. In her writ of summons filed on February 14, 2024, Martha Ankomah asserted that Lil Win’s remarks had harmed her reputation and the brand, GTP.
