7 Arrested Following Fatal Clash Resulting in Three Deaths in Afigya Kwabre South

Authorities have detained seven individuals allegedly linked to the gruesome killing of three people in Kyekyire near Brongkong, situated within the Afigya Kwabre South district of the Ashanti Region.

Eyewitnesses reported that the tragic event, which transpired on December 30, 2023, stemmed from a confrontation between two factions of young men.

Joyce Osei Assibey, the assembly member representing the Kyekyire-Kyerease electoral area, affirmed these accounts to Citi News, detailing that a group of weapon-wielding young men began hurling stones and damaging vehicles at a residential area in Kyekyire.

In response, another group confronted them, leading to the fatalities of three individuals and injuries sustained by several others.

Police subsequently apprehended seven suspects believed to be involved in the incident.

Joyce Osei Assibey expressed concerns, revealing that fear has gripped the residents, causing some to flee their homes following the distressing occurrence.
