Special Prosecutor Initiates Probe into Alleged Corruption in Ghana’s Payroll System

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has launched an investigation and corruption risk assessment targeting potential irregularities within the Government of Ghana’s payroll administration.

The inquiry, headed by Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng, is focused on identifying and addressing suspected corruption and related offenses.

The primary objectives of this inquiry encompass the identification and removal of non-existent names from the payroll, the recovery of wrongfully disbursed payments, and the pursuit of legal action against individuals implicated in any illicit activities.
