Actor turned politician,John Dumelo has taken a jab at veteran movie producer Socrates Safo right in front of him during discussion concerning celebrities and political affiliations on Nana Ama McBrown’s ‘United Showbiz’ Show aired on UTV.
During the show, John Dumelo stated emphatically that his political affiliation with the main opposition the National Democratic Congress(NDC) never affected his acting career contrary to what Clement Bonney aka Mr Beautiful was faced with.
The NDC’s Ayawaso West Wuogon Parliamentary Candidate disclosed that regardless of his affiliation with the NDC, his services were still sought after by many producers.
John Dumelo jokingly threw a jab at producer Socrates Safo who was also part of the panellist on the show.
John Dumelo said his career can not be sabotaged by a man who wears crooked spectacles while pointing to Socrate Safo who is known to be an NPP sympathiser.
“I considered the implications but if you’re determined, you’ll never be distracted. You know there is a passion for it. I don’t have any regrets.”
“My acting career hasn’t been affected. How can a person with crooked spectacles [pointing to Socrate Safo] sabotage me?” he wondered.
