NDC Launches Operation ‘Agenda 25 Seats’ in Greater Accra Region

The Greater Accra regional branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has unveiled its latest initiative, called “Agenda Win Twenty-Five Seats,” as part of its preparations for the upcoming 2024 general elections. The party aims to secure an additional five parliamentary seats from the fourteen orphan constituencies in the region, in addition to the twenty seats it currently holds in Ghana’s Parliament.

Mr. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, the Regional Chairman of the Greater Accra NDC and a former Member of Parliament for the Adentan Constituency, expressed confidence in the party’s ability to achieve this goal. In an interview with Accra-based Citi News, Mr. Ashie Moore revealed that the party has developed comprehensive strategies to secure these five additional seats by 2024.

“We are securing five out of the 14 seats currently held by the ruling New Patriotic Party, and we are not just taking them. I can assure you. Under my leadership as regional chairman, we’ve launched an ‘Agenda 25 Seats’ initiative, and it will be realized,” he stated without disclosing the specific constituencies targeted.

These funds will be utilized for conducting effective campaigns in those constituencies.

Mr. Cleland Nii Ayaa Ayison, a former Parliamentary candidate for the Weija Gbawe constituency, echoed the determination of the NDC members involved in the initiative. He affirmed their commitment to work tirelessly towards securing victory for the party in the 2024 elections.
