The Ministry has taken notice of claims made by Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the Convenor of the Fix the Country Movement, in a viral post. He alleged that the Minister for National Security offered him a sum of S1,000,000.00 in an attempt to persuade him to halt his “activism.”

While it’s recognized that in 2021, the Ministers for National Security and Finance, along with other relevant stakeholders, engaged with the Fix the Country Movement’s convenors to address their concerns, the Ministry firmly denies any offer of money or appointment being made to convince the group to cease their “activism.”

THIS IS TRENDING:   I look forward to appearing before the Appointments Committee tomorrow - Oliver Barker-Vormawor

The Ministry categorically states that Oliver Barker-Vormawor’s allegations are baseless, unsubstantiated, and appear to be a deliberate effort to mislead the Ghanaian public. The Ministry has challenged him to provide the alleged recording of this supposed inducement. In the meantime, the general public is urged to disregard these allegations and treat them with the utmost skepticism they deserve.
