The People’s National Convention (PNC) expressed disappointment that the birthday celebration of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, was marred by protests, despite warnings from the Police.

The PNC believes that this negativity tarnished Nkrumah’s legacy, which stood for unity and the rule of law. They argue that there are better ways to address grievances, such as lectures and symposiums, rather than engaging in illegal demonstrations.

The PNC also highlighted the volatile situation in the West African subregion, characterized by coup d’états, and suggested that the demonstrators should be aware of these challenges.
