Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency and a presidential hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), made it clear that he remains committed to his presidential bid.
He expressed this determination while addressing a group of youth in his Constituency. He emphasized that the outcome of the election, whether he wins or loses, is secondary to the unity of the party. Agyapong assured that if any of his competitors were to lose, they would unite and support the victor, contingent on the fairness of the November 4th election.
This announcement followed the withdrawal of one of the flagbearership aspirants, Alan Kyerematen, who cited intimidation from political adversaries and alleged bias in favor of a specific candidate as reasons for his decision to step aside from the race.
