Kanye West Responds To Criticism Following The Release Of His ‘Eazy’ Music Video—“Art Is Freedom Of Speech”

Roommates, Kanye West has never been one to comprise his music or visuals to please other people—and he just made that very clear with his response to the recent criticism surrounding his latest music video ‘Eazy’ featuring The Game. Taking to his Instagram account, Kanye West posted a simple still shot from the video with a simple yet in-depth explanation about the visuals.

Late last month, Kanye West released the video for his highly buzzed-about single ‘Eazy’ featuring The Game, however, many of his critics were solely focused on the depiction of Pete Davidson as an animated character that gets beheaded and buried in the video. Never one to back down from backlash, whether personal or professional, Kanye finally offered a response—but if you were hoping for some sort or apology or regret, it’s not happening.

Instead, Kanye posted a thorough response about the ‘Eazy’ video and explained that it is “protected as freedom of speech,” among other thoughts.

“Art is therapy just like this view. Art is protected as freedom of speech. Art inspires and simplifies the world. Art is not a proxy for any ill or harm. Any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended,” Kanye wrote in the caption of his post.
