Former Vogue Editor-At-Large André Leon Talley Reportedly Dies At 73

If you know anything about the fashion industry, you know Andre Leon Talley was crowned Fashions Godfather after he became the news director of Vogue in the 1980’s. Soon after, he worked as the magazine’s editor-at-large and creative director until 2013.

Aside from his work at the biggest fashion magazine in the world, Talley is known for trailblazing the way for more people of color to work in the fashion industry in magazines, on runways, and in design.

Andre Leon Talley was a trusted voice in fashion and his stacked resume speaks to the many things he accomplished throughout his career! After departing from Vogue, Talley continued to work side-by-side with the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, and he even went on to become a judge on ‘America’s Next Top Model’ and a stylist for The Obama’s.
