A Circuit Court in Accra has granted Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, and Samuel Frimpong also known as Medikal, permission to travel outside the country.
Lawyer, Jerry Avenorgbo, representing Shatta Wale and lawyer Pobbi Banson, appearing on behalf of Medikal, took turns before Judge Emmanuel Essandoh’s court, praying the court to grant their clients the opportunity to attend to some programmes outside the country during the festive season.
They further requested the court for a long adjournment in light of their request.
On Tuesday, the Accra Circuit Court 4 has adjourned cases involving the state and dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale, and Samuel Frimpong also known as Medikal, to January 25, 2022.
Shatta Wale’s lawyer, Jerry Avenorgbo appealed to the court to grant his client the opportunity to attend some programs outside the country during the festive season.
Shatta Wale was arrested on October 19, 2021, for faking a gunshot attack on him and was subsequently charged with causing fear and panic and false publication of news.
The dancehall artiste was remanded at the Ankaful prison and later granted a self-recognizance bail at the sum of GH¢100,000.
Pobbi Banson, lawyer for Medikal, also prayed the court to adjourn proceedings to January 25, 2022, since his client would also be on trips to perform at events during the Christmas festivities.
The court, presided over by Emmanuel Essandoh granted the request and adjourned sittings to January 25, 2022.
Right after the court trail, the two bestie got Ghanaians reacting over a video of them eating fufu and light soup.
In the video, the two are seen with the fufu in a huge earthenware bowl locally known as Asanka with plenty of meat and fish on it.

They were obviously enjoying the meal as all their attention was on it and nothing else with one of Medikal’s songs playing in the background.
